The crane motor is a special electric motor used to drive the crane for lifting and handling operations. Crane motors usually use squirrel-cage rotor motors, which have high starting torque and large starting current and can withstand large impact loads. When selecting a crane motor, factors such as the motor’s power, speed, voltage, current, insulation level, etc. need to be considered to ensure that the motor can meet the usage requirements of the crane. At the same time, correct installation, use and maintenance of the motor are also required to ensure safe and reliable operation of the motor.

YZR, YZ series motors for hoisting and metallurgy

These series of three phase metallurgicalindustrial and crane motors，with wound orsquirrel cage rotor are specially designed to drivemetallurgical industrial cranes and other similarmachines, it has excellent overload capability andhigh mechanical strength. Therefore, it is well suitfor short duty cycle. or intermittent periodic duty,and equipments with frequent starting and brakingor are subject to vibration and shock.

The standard range of power output and mounting dimensions complies with the reconmmended standard of (IEC 72). The relation between range of power output and mounting dimensions are similar to the Japanese standard (JEM 1202) and German standard (DIN42681). Therefore most of them can be interchanged.

The motor can be oprateted well up to altitude of 1,000m.

There are lwo classes of insulation, F and H. Class F is applicable to temperature condition not exceeding 40C. Class H is suitable for metallurgical industrial sites where ambient temperature is below 60C. Both have the same technical data.

The motors possess a better enclosure, with protection standard of IP44 for normal site condition, and IP54 for metallurgical industrial condition.

The YZR series three phase induction metallurgical industrial and crane motor with wound rotor is compling with the standard JB/T10105-1999. The YZ series three phase induction metallurgical industrial and crane motor with squirrel cage rotor compling with the standard JB/T10104- 1999.

Motor’s rated voltage and frequency is 380V/50HZ.
